Out of the Blue Lifestyle Farm is an environmental retreat for people who are looking to take a break and refresh their minds and bodies in a sustainable and eco-friendly way.
Kim and Michael Jacobs moved from Richmond Hill to this magnificent 88-acre country property in Mono, Ont., after years of learning about and loving the local hiking and outdoor opportunities.
Our primary goals revolve around nurturing and protecting the flora and fauna of both ours and the neighbouring properties throughout Mono and Dufferin County. We believe that nurturing our environment and our communities goes hand in hand with nurturing our own bodies and minds.
We have committed acreage to long-term forestry management as well as to the production of organic heirloom varieties of fruits and vegetables such as grapes, berries, cherries, apples, pears and various peppers and squash.
About 3% of our maple hardwood bush is being utilized for the production of maple syrup, and arranged visits are always welcome to see how we collect and boil sap into syrup and other products.
In order to maintain the health and stability of our farm products, we also manage a small apiary that produces a variety of exceptional honey products.
We offer a variety of wellness programs designed to reconnect and recenter, including forest bathing, mindful meditation and yoga. We also support organizational and workplace wellness for groups who are looking to encourage growth and development and build team cohesiveness.
Since community is at the centre of everything we do, we also host monthly open-house festivals.
